1. File Uploading Mastery: Web, Remote URL & FTP

FileJoker provides three flexible methods for publishing and storing your data in the cloud. Depending on whether you are uploading a single archive or migrating multiple gigabytes from a dedicated server, you can choose the optimal transfer protocol.

A. Web Browser Drag & Drop Upload

The standard web interface allows you to upload files directly through modern HTML5 browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari). Simply log into your FileJoker dashboard, navigate to the File Manager, and drag files into the upload target area.

  • Max Single File Size: Free users can upload files up to 500 MB. Premium users enjoy unlimited single-file sizes up to multiple tens of gigabytes per container.
  • Chunking Engine: Modern browsers automatically break large uploads into smaller parallel streams, ensuring temporary WiFi hiccups do not abort your upload.

B. Remote URL Upload (Server-to-Server)

If you have direct links from other web servers, cloud buckets, or authorized cyberlockers, you do not need to download the files to your local machine first. Use the Remote Upload feature:

  1. Open your FileJoker dashboard and select Remote URL Upload.
  2. Paste up to 20 direct HTTP/HTTPS download URLs into the input box.
  3. Click Transfer to Cloud. FileJoker's multi-gigabit servers will pull the data directly, achieving speeds exceeding 100 MB/s.

C. FTP & FTPS Setup via FileZilla

For automated mass uploads, power users and content creators should utilize FileJoker's FTP cluster. Here are the exact configuration parameters to enter into FileZilla or WinSCP:

Host: ftp.filejoker.net
Port: 21 (or 990 for explicit FTPS)
Protocol: FTP - File Transfer Protocol (or Require explicit FTP over TLS)
Encryption: Use explicit FTP over TLS if available
Logon Type: Normal (Enter your registered FileJoker Email & Password)
Transfer Mode: Passive (Recommended for firewall traversal)

Pro Tip: Limit maximum simultaneous connections in FileZilla Settings → Transfers → Maximum number of connections to 4 or 5 to prevent temporary connection throttling by server firewalls.

2. JDownloader 2 Setup & Multi-Segment Acceleration

JDownloader 2 is the premier open-source download manager for automating large link queues, handling multi-part archives (.rar, .7z), and maxing out high-speed fiber broadband connections with FileJoker Premium.

Step-by-Step Account Configuration

  1. Open JDownloader 2 on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.
  2. Click on the Settings tab → select Account Manager from the left sidebar.
  3. Click the Add button at the bottom of the Account Manager pane.
  4. In the search box, type filejoker.net and select it.
  5. Enter your registered FileJoker Email Address and Password (or your API Key if generated).
  6. Click Save. JDownloader will contact the FileJoker API. Within 2 seconds, the status will show Account is OK: Premium User with your remaining validity and bandwidth quota.

⚙️ Recommended Connection Settings

To maximize bandwidth throughput without overloading your router:

  • Max Chunks per Download: Set to 8 to 12 (splits each file into multiple simultaneous HTTP connections).
  • Max Simultaneous Downloads: Set to 3 to 5 files concurrently.
  • Speed Limit: Ensure the bottom-right speed limiter is unchecked (0 = Unlimited).

📦 Automatic Extraction & Archive Joining

In JDownloader Settings → Archive Extractor:

  • Enable Auto-Extract Archives after download completion.
  • Add frequently used archive passwords into the Password List for zero-click unpacking.
  • Check Delete archive files after successful extraction to save local SSD storage.

3. Internet Download Manager (IDM) & Browser Integration

For users who prefer seamless single-click downloads directly from their web browser, Internet Download Manager (IDM) offers high-performance dynamic segmentation and instantaneous link grabbing.

Configuring FileJoker Login in IDM:

  1. Open IDM → Click on Downloads → Select Options.
  2. Navigate to the Sites Logins tab.
  3. Click New and enter:
    • Server / Site Name: *.filejoker.net
    • User / Login: Your FileJoker email
    • Password: Your account password
  4. Click OK and apply settings.
  5. Install the official IDM Integration Module extension in Chrome/Firefox. Now whenever you click any FileJoker link, IDM will instantly intercept and accelerate the download at full wire speed.

4. Speed Troubleshooting, ISP Bypass & Resuming Broken Transfers

If you are experiencing speeds slower than your subscribed internet package, follow these technical diagnosis steps to eliminate bottlenecks:

🔍 1. Bypass ISP Bandwidth Throttling via Custom DNS

Some local internet service providers artificially throttle cyberlocker traffic through DNS inspection. Switch your router or device DNS settings to high-performance privacy resolvers:

Primary DNS: 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare) | Alternative: 8.8.8.8 (Google Public DNS)

🔄 2. Resuming Broken Downloads Without Starting Over

One of the core benefits of FileJoker Premium is 100% Resume Capability via HTTP 206 Partial Content headers. If a download stalls due to a power outage or connection drop:

  • In JDownloader 2 or IDM, simply right-click the file and click Resume / Force Download.
  • If the link expired, in IDM select Refresh Download Address, visit the URL in your browser, and IDM will seamlessly continue from where it left off.

🌐 3. VPN and CDN Routing Diagnostics

FileJoker utilizes global Tier-1 CDN edge routing. If your direct path to the main storage cluster experiences transatlantic packet loss, connecting to an optimized VPN node located in Frankfurt (Germany), Amsterdam (Netherlands), or New York (USA) will frequently double or triple your throughput.
